Pregnancy and Delivery &

4-D Ultrasound Images

Pregnancy and childbirth are one of the most joyous experiences of your life – it’s important to partner with highly skilled and experienced obstetricians you can trust.

We take pride in the relationships we have built with our patients and the trust they have in our doctors. Our years of obstetric experience allows us to offer a full spectrum of expert care, including:

  • Infertility
  • Preconception planning
  • Prenatal care
  • Vaginal and surgical deliveries
  • The Nuchal Fold test, a noninvasive first trimester test for Down syndrome or other chromosomal abnormalities, something that’s especially important to today’s older mothers.
  • NIPT – Non invasive pregnancy testing. NIPT is a new option in the prenatal screening and testing paradigm for trisomy 21 and a few other fetal chromosomal aneuploidies. This latest advancement is not always covered by insurance.
  • ERAS – Enhanced Recovery After Surgery protocol for C-Sections

We’ll partner with you, foster open communication and guide you in the decision-making process, from conception to prenatal care to delivery.

Our physicians are known and respected in the local medical community and are active on the medical staff at St. Barnabas Medical Center in West Orange, NJ. Our deliveries are performed at St. Barnabas – conveniently located directly across from our main office. We are there to ensure you enjoy a healthy pregnancy and positive birthing experience.

ERAS Protocol for C-sections
In keeping with our mission to provide “advanced solutions for a healthier life’ The Rubino OBGYN group has embraced the ERAS(enhanced recovery after surgery) protocol for cesarean sections.
This evidence based approach is aimed at a more complete, post operative pain relief with a TAP (Transverse Abdominals Plane) block for earlier diet advancement, mobilization and reduced opioid use. The data is clear that this protocol is effective and well tolerated by patients.*
ERAS pathways have the potential to improve patient quality of life, in both the immediate and long term post-surgical periods. Factors such as earlier resumption of normal activities, reduced fatigue and reduced number of days that patients require sick leave have all been reported in patients for whom ERAS was implemented.
